THE Queensland Murri Under 16 training squad has been named with players from Brisbane to Cairns gaining selection.

The young Indigenous players will play the curtain-raiser at the 2013 Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars in Brisbane in February against their NSW Koori counterparts.

The final teams will be selected in January and given the opportunity to showcase their skills at the iconic Suncorp Stadium.

The young players – who hail from areas as far as Tully in North Queensland and as remote as Goodooga in NSW – have been chosen for their commitment to their education and future; as well as for their skills on the field.
