AFTER a successful staging in 2012, the Under 14 Rhys Wesser “Dream, Believe, Achieve” Super 9s Shield returns to Rockhampton this April.

The Shield will be held at Victoria Park, Rockhampton from April 11-12.

Last year’s inaugural event had 12 teams nominated, and organisers are hoping that this number will improve in its second year, with more teams from outside the Rockhampton and District area returning for a go at the Rhys Wesser Shield.

Under the new banner of “Dream, Believe, Achieve”, the 9-a- side Under 14 Carnival will follow a similar format to last year, with the games increasing from seven and a half (7½) minute halves to nine (9) minute halves.

The carnival will again be supporting Camp Quality and Cancer Council Queensland with raffles and Rhys will also lead the Camp Quality All Stars which includes the Camp Quality children, staff and supporters against a carnival side in a game of touch football as a lead up to the Shield final on the Friday.
