THIS weekend is shaping up as a busy one for the Burleigh Bears, with the club hosting first a sportsman’s breakfast and then a full day of trial matches.
The Gold Coast Titans v New Zealand Warriors Sportsman’s Breakfast will be held on Friday, February 8 from 7am at the Burleigh Bears Leagues Club.
Players from both teams will attend the breakfast, while guest speaker Mat Rogers and comedian- Pete Rosky will entertain those who brave the early start.
There will also be interviews with Warriors and Titans coaches and players.
The Bears will be auctioning off a Match Day experience at the Sportsman’s Breakfast for the Trial game. This will include:
• tickets to the game
• coin toss
• photo with the 2 captains at coin toss
• visit to the change rooms of your choice after the game to get photos and autographs
Tickets are $50 and are available by telephoning Reception on 55 724 055.
The following day (Saturday, February 9) will see the two teams face off on the field, with the Titans v Warriors NRL trial match to be held at Pizzey Park.
Discount tickets are available until February 8; and kids Under 10 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
The gates will open at 2pm with the main game between the Titans and Warriors kicking off at 5.15pm.
The earlier games will see the Burleigh Bears Intrust Cup v Gold Coast Titans Under 20 starting at 3.30pm and the Burleigh Colts v Cudgen A Grade match kicking off at 2.05pm.
