Cog Turns For Country

AFTER playing for City last year, Young Gun Leigh Coghill will represent the enemy this Saturday in Cloncurry, called in as one of five replacements to the XXXX Country team.

NRL promotions for Josh Hannay, Ray Cashmere, Clint Amos and Robert Tanielu have forced wholesale changes to Steve Murphy's team, with Adam Hutchison also having to withdraw due to work commitments.

Aside from front-rower Coghill, others called in for Country are North Queenslanders Scott Bolton and Mark Dalle Cort, Burleigh's Trent Purdon and Toowoomba hooker John Te Reo.

Danny Coburn has also been placed on standby due to injury concerns over Nick Kenny. If Kenny fails fitness tests on Wednesday then Chris Muckert will start at prop, with Coburn coming onto the bench.

North Queensland utility Mark Henry was not considered as he will travel with the Cowboys to Wollongong as 18th man.

City faces changes of its own, still to announce a replacement for centre Nick Emmett, charged with a Grade 3 Tripping offence from last week's match between Redcliffe and Easts.

Emmett is seeking a downgrade, but will still incur a week's suspension.
