One Community Hits Queensland

THE BRONCOS, Cowboys and Titans will come together for the Queensland leg of Rugby League’s One Community Charity Christmas Party at the Gold Coast's White Water World on Tuesday 12 December. The likes of Matt Bowen, Ty Williams, Luke Bailey, Mark Minichiello, David Stagg, Michael Ennis, Ben Hannant and Darius Boyd will be jumping on rides and tucking into an Aussie BBQ with more than 60 kids from nominated charities before taking on elf duties and helping Santa with the distribution of presents.
The Charity Christmas Parties are the first project for Rugby League’s newly launched One Community programme. NSW clubs hosted a Christmas Party at Luna Park last Thursday and the Melbourne Storm will take their Christmas Cheer to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital programme on Thursday.
One Community aims to use the strong profile of Rugby League to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Children and families will be the focus of the programme which will see the NRL develop key strategic partnerships to address health, educational and social issues.
At the same time the NRL and players will maintain existing relationships with an extensive array of charity programmes.
