Blossoming Talent Goes Abroad
 QUEENSLAND has dominated the Australian Under 20s women's squad, selected to tour New Zealand in October.
The 20-strong squad named earlier this week includes 16 members from the Sunshine State.
Several of the Queenslanders have ties to recognised rugby league families in Brisbane, such as Britney Banks, Rachel Taputu-Crombie, Terese Aiton and Lana Sila.
Australia's Under 20 squad will undergo a training camp in Sydney on August 6-7 and be present at Henson Park on the Saturday when Queensland's and New South Wales' open-age teams battle out the Nellie Doherty Cup. A meeting for the South East Junior Girls competition has been scheduled for Monday 18th July, 6pm at Ithaca Bowls Club, Fulcher Road, Red Hill.
Anyone interested in establishing the junior girls league for 2006 is invited to attend and should contact Judy Robson on 0412633772.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the initial set up and requirements in establishing the Junior Girls Rugby League Board and appoint interim committee members to assist and orchestrate the initial set up of the competition, scheduled to kick off in April 2006.
