Mental Health - Getting help


Recognising that you, or someone that you know, may have a mental health problem and doing something about it to get help takes courage.

Remember that you are not alone – 1 in 6 Australians experiences mental illness at some time in their life.

Being listened to and sharing your feelings with someone can help enormously.

There are a range of people available to help you, including health professionals and support groups, who you can listen and guide you through what you are facing.

These people are able to help you work through your problems, give you a different viewpoint or simply just listen.

 

The NRL and QRL have a partnership with Davidson Trahaire Corpsych to provide support counselling to rugby league participants and their families that need help.

Each year, the Queensland Rugby League holds the ‘Turn to Me’ round in the Intrust Super Cup – supporting Beyond Blue to help raise mental health awareness.
