Dave Taylor is in contention to add to his six Origin caps with the Maroons after being called into Mal Meninga’s squad following a dramatic morning on the Gold Coast.
“I’m really excited to be back here and looking forward to the camp,” Taylor told QRL TV.
“I was actually doing recovery (at Titans training) and our manager Clarky came down and told me and said ‘you better go pack your bags’. I said that’s a bit of a mean joke and he goes ‘I’m serious, off you go’.
“So I raced home and told the wife and here I am.”
Taylor received the news after Corey Parker was ruled out with a facial fracture.
