Darren Lockyer farewells his beloved Queensland in the best way possible, as he leads his side to a series-winning 34-24 defeat of New South Wales at Suncorp Stadium.

Running on adrenaline and Queensland passion, the Maroons blitz the Blues in an amazing first-half display to put the game out of the Blues’ reach.

Lockyer shows his class as he guides the Maroons around the park, while still showing his trademark defensive effort.

A sixth-straight State of Origin series win gives “Locky” the perfect ending to a glorious Queensland career, with the great man now forever honoured at Suncorp Stadium with his own statue.
