CONGRATULATIONS to Queensland referee Belinda Sleeman who has been appointed to officiate her first National Rugby League line this weekend.
Sleeman – from the Ipswich Rugby League Referees Association – was appointed as a touch judge for the round 26 match at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday between Wests Tigers and the Cronulla Sharks and is the first female to officiate in an NRL game.
Having taken up the opportunity to be involved in the Women in League Officials Program to start this season, Sleeman continues to light the path for female match officials in our game.
