Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League grand finals preview:

GRAND final time has arrived in the Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League competition, with both the Division 1 and Division 2 deciders to be played at Burleigh’s Pizzey Park tomorrow (Saturday, September 13).

In last weekend’s preliminary finals, Burpengary beat Waterford 32-16 in Division 2 and Beerwah defeated Burleigh Heads 32-0 in Division 1.

This means that the minor premiership-winning Toowoomba Fillies will face Burpengary in Division 2 at 11.15am.

It is a great achievement for the Fillies to finish on top the table in the regular season and also earn a grand final berth in their debut season.

In Division 1, women’s rugby league heavyweights and defending premiers Souths Logan will come up against the Beerwah Bulldogs in Division 1 at 1pm.

The two teams last played in the major semi-final, with Souths Logan claiming a 30-18 win in what was an entertaining match.

This weekend’s rematch is set to provide a similar showcase of skill, determination and great rugby league.

Division 1

Souths Logan v Beerwah at Pizzey Park on Sunday, September 13 - 1pm

Division 2

Toowoomba Fillies v Burpengary at Pizzey Park on Saturday, September 13 – 11.15am

These two matches will be followed by the FOGS Colts Challenge major semi-final between the Burleigh Bears and Redcliffe Dolphins.
