Central Division Women’s All Clubs Challenge

THE QRL’S Central Division will host an All Clubs Challenge carnival next month.

The inaugural competition will be staged as a 9s tournament consisting of an Under 16 Girls and Open Women’s division.

Teams are invited to attend from across the state, with Cairns, Mackay and Brisbane teams also invited to make the trip to take part.

Nominations are now open and the nomination fee will be $100 per team.

It will be held at Rockhampton’s Victoria Park on Saturday, October 11.

The carnival has been arranged so women in the area can play some rugby league.

There have been several attempts at establishing a competition in the area, but a number of hurdles have prevented a sustainable a competition from happening.

It is hoped the carnival will build interest in the area again and give the mad keen rugby league girls and women an opportunity to play the game.

There have already been two Under 16 teams and four Open Women’s teams nominated.

All applications need to be submitted by Monday, September 29.

Download the flyer for more information on how to submit an application.
