PNG Hunters have re-signed 15 of the 22 contracted players who finished the 2014 season in the Intrust Super Cup.

The new squad will be extended to a maximum of 28 full-time players for their 2015 campaign in Queensland’s premier competition.

A confirmed addition is Kata Otio, a talented 108kg winger/centre who has represented PNG in men’s volleyball.

Otio and his new teammates entered full-time camp on November 22 and have been training twice daily, working through an extensive gym and fitness testing program.

Twelve players are currently trialling for full-time positions, including 2013 Kumuls World Cup squad members Ase Boas (halfback) and Enock Maki (prop).
