LAST Sunday, the Redlynch Razorbacks Junior Rugby League volunteers came together for the opportunity to show the local community how much fun rugby league can be and how great their club is!
The first 2015 “Come & Try Day” in the region saw 30 children aged 5 years and older come together to join the fun, taking part in drills with the Razorbacks’ coaching staff.
A special mention to NRL Northern Division Game Development Officer Alby Anderson and Northern Pride Football Operations & Community Engagement Officer Ben Jeffries for taking time out of their busy schedules, not to mention Sunday morning, to come down to Razorbacks and help us show what junior rugby league is all about.
The club believes the “Come & Try” days are so important and receive great feedback from parents and children keen to be part of junior rugby league.
It provides an opportunity, in a supportive environment, to show how safe and enjoyable the game is, whilst showing how great our little club is.
Club officials are also on hand to answer any questions about the upcoming season, club and district.
There were smiles all-round, especially at the end when everyone enjoyed a sausage sizzle before ice blocks were handed out.
Razorbacks JRL will be holding their next “Come & Try” on Sunday, February 1 from 8.30am – 10am down at the Pig Pen!
