The Village Motors Redcliffe Dolphins have made a decision on tomorrow’s scheduled senior trial games.

Curtain-raiser games involving the Redcliffe Dolphins Colts vs Souths Logan Magpies and the Redcliffe Juniors A-Grade team vs Gaters BRL have been postponed.

The pre-season trial between the Brisbane Broncos and the Redcliffe Dolphins Intrust Super Cup squad will proceed as planned with a 7:15pm kick-off.

Grant Cleal, General Manager Football Operations stated, “Though Dolphin Oval is draining as well as can be expected, we only have a fortnight before hosting Round 1 of the Intrust Super Cup season. All three games playing tomorrow would potentially ruin four months of work on the playing surface.”

“Though wet weather isn’t ideal for viewing, to the Dolphins and Broncos fans, I’d simply like to encourage supporters to prepare themselves with wet weather clothes, umbrellas and their own seating,”

“The main game will be played tomorrow, even in the rain.”

“I would not be surprised to hear other scheduled trials are cancelled around the state too,”

“We will look to our lower grade oppostions clubs to discuss the possibility of playing next week.

Though that’s something we will confirm with supporters at the beginning of next week – if not sooner,” Cleal said.
