The Sunshine Coast Falcons have received a significant boost with leading local building firm Vantage Homes confirmed as the club’s major sponsor for the 2015 Intrust Super Cup.

Falcons CEO Chris Flannery said he was thrilled to have a local firm with a solid track record take on the major sponsorship which will now see the team referred to as the Vantage Homes Sunshine Coast Falcons.

“Vantage Homes have built an enviable reputation as a leading builder throughout South East Queensland, in fact the HIA rates them as the 13th largest building firm in Queensland so it’s great to have such a successful local company supporting us in 2015.”

“We’ve been ultra impressed with Vantage Homes’ directors Shane O’Brien and Glenn Carmichael and it’s clear that they are backing the direction we are taking with our commitment to climb to the top of the Intrust Super Cup,” Mr Flannery said.

Vantage Homes General Manager Chris Lewis said he firmly believes the Falcons are a team on the rise thanks to a number of factors including the alignment with the Melbourne Storm, an improved playing roster as well as a strong commitment to game day entertainment and corporate and community engagement.

“Having an alliance with an NRL club is really powerful and we saw the benefit of this first hand when the former Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles were aligned to Manly. We are confident that the Vantage Homes Sunshine Coast Falcons can emulate the same success over the next few years.”

“There’s exciting times ahead and we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to get on board and become the major sponsor before someone else took it up. This is initially a one year commitment on our behalf but we have plans to continue the relationship should things go as planned,” he said.

Mr Lewis said Vantage Homes was treating the sponsorship as more than just a branding opportunity and would look to engage with all aspects of the club including its players, sponsors, members and supporters.

“We will be taking it to another level by calling on our suppliers and contractors to take up season memberships so they can come and enjoy the game, meet some of the other sponsors and help to create a cauldron like atmosphere to support the Vantage Homes Falcons at Sunshine Coast Stadium,” he said.

The Vantage Homes Sunshine Coast Falcons commence their 2015 Intrust Super Cup season on March 7 at Sunshine Coast Stadium against Norths.
