Norths Tigers defeated West End Bulldogs 56-6 in the Ipswich Rugby League Mayor Paul Pisasale A-Grade Cup on Sunday.
The Tigers looked to be back to their best, finding the form that won them the 2014 premiership as they look towards the finals series with momentum behind them.
Norths got the scoring underway early with tries to both of their halves, five-eighth Joshua Roberts scored in the 7th minute and halfback Steven West scored in the 11th minute to give the Tigers a 12-nil lead.
When West End were attacking in Norths' territory the Tigers showed great composure and commitment in defence to keep the Bulldogs out.
When Norths got the ball back they showed their class in attack with Anava Fesolai scoring two tries in the 27th and 31st minutes, including a stunning 90-metre runaway try to extend the Tigers' lead to 22-nil.
The Tigers had shown great skill to score their tries and in the 35th minute Stephen Kafer showed great strength to power over and score a try for Norths as the Tigers' lead grew to 26-points.
With just seconds remaining in the first half, West End finally scored to take the halftime score to 26-6 reducing Norths' lead to 20-points.
Seven minutes into the second half Norths scored to yet again extended their lead to 26-points.
The Tigers seemed to be on a mission to head into finals football on a positive note and by the 64th minute they were leading by 38-points after tries to Brendan Marshall and Tonga Mounga in the 52nd and 64th minutes respectively.
Leading 44-6 Norths weren't done attacking yet, in the 75th minute Steven West ran onto a superb offload and scored a fantastic try to extend the Tigers' lead to 50-6.
With seconds of the match remaining Norths put the ball through quick hands in the back line and Tonga Mounga scored to give Norths a 56-6 lead at fulltime.
