The National Rugby League – in partnership with the Queensland Rugby League and Queensland School Sport Rugby League 10-12 years – offer primary schools across the state the opportunity to participate in the Development Cup.

This competition has a rich history and provides all Queensland primary schools, regardless of size or location, with the opportunity to participate and compete to be crowned state champions.

The objective of NRL Development Cup is to create a link between all primary school competitions across Queensland and ultimately provide every school that plays rugby league throughout the state with the opportunity to compete for the showpiece inter-primary school crown.

The continued support of by the schools fraternity is also acknowledged as this assists in the positive development of the game rugby league and Queensland’s youth.

This year, Kirwan State School and Banksia Beach State School will compete in the Queensland final as part of Intrust Super Cup grand final day this Sunday.
