Rugby league is again leading the way to help tackle a societal issue that is sadly affecting many people throughout the community.

QRL TV recently caught up with Central Division Manager Glenn Ottaway to find out more about an initiative started by the St George club in the Roma and Districts League where they are drug testing players in order to help create a safer environment not only at the club, but in the town.

This is one of a number of community-focused initiatives Central Division clubs are involved with – with others including a partnership to curb domestic violence and the Project Hope campaign which was launched last year.

To find out more about the St George club and their approach to combating drugs – watch above.
