Big Souths Logan forward Herman Ese’ese has been in the news recently and did his chances of earning an NRL recall no harm with a strong performance against Tweed Heads last weekend.

The former Bulldog has been mooted as a possible replacement for the injured Alex Glenn in the Broncos forward pack and he led from the front for the Magpies making a game high 219m from his 22 runs – which including going over for a try.

Across the competition, he was only bettered by PNG Hunters winger Justin Olam who ran 231m.
