A try on the final play of the match to Redcliffe Dolphins' Rinsma Saueha stole a 28-24 win over Easts Tigers at Burpengary.

The big centre's effort capped a flurry of points in the final ten minutes for Redcliffe, as they overwhelmed an Easts team chasing their first win of the season.

The Tigers looked to have control of the game when nippy fullback Adrian Henley weaved his way to the line for a 24-12 lead in the 69th minute.

But Redcliffe had other ideas.

First Tai Vaavale crashed over to reduce the margin to six, before Kyle van Klaveran finished a backline movement.

Halfback Tyson Gamble then had a sideline conversation to level the game but it was waved away in blustery conditions, leaving the Tigers clinging to a 24-22 lead with three minutes to go.

With the clock ticking down, Redcliffe worked themselves into an attacking position before Saueha dived over out wide with seconds to spare.

It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Tigers who are winless after the first three rounds.

Easts took a 12-0 lead into the sheds thanks to prop Kurt Hatfield and a flying leap from winger Conroy Jones.

In other results, Carina notched their first win of the season with a 36-20 results against Logan Brothers.

Gaters and Ipswich remain undefeated at the top of the table.
