Southport Tigers 26 def Burleigh Bears 24 – A great display of football as the Tigers took on Burleigh who demolished Bilambil last week. The Tigers were first to score and showed great defence in denying Burleigh the chance to score points in the first 20 minutes. Burleigh were determined to stay in the game, as centre Todd Seymour slotted a kick in to be collected and grounded by hooker Chris Law. The Tigers showed great enthusiasm with coach Tim Cannard putting on the boots and kicking for the game.

Southport 26 (Troy Leo 2, Nathan Land 2, Corey Griffiths; Tim Cannard 3 goals) DEF Burleigh 24 (Waka Wanahi 2, Jacob Grant, Chris Law; Carne Rhodes 4 goals) at Owens Park.

Runaway Bay Seagulls 24 def Ormeau Shearers 20 – A slow start for both teams as they look to find momentum and pace. In the 26th minute, halfback Connor Toia put a chip over the Shearers line for Tyrone Studer to collect and score. After the first, the Seagulls accelerated to slot three more tries before half time. A great come back from the Shearers as they almost even out the game in the second half.

Runaway Bay 24 (Tyrone Studer 2, Ian Fuaivaa 2, Steve Tolo; Steve Tolo 2 goals) DEF Ormeau 20 (Jade Gage – Nepia, Titfau Seufale, Michi Kendrick, Matthew Parata; Steve Thomas – Abraham 2 goals) at Bycroft Oval.

Tweed Heads Seagulls 54 def Currumbin Eagles 22 – A strong performance from the Tweed Seagulls, who led 30-12 score at half time. Honourable mention to centre Tim Cassidy who scored a hat-trick and helped drive the team to the 54-22 win over the Eagles. The match featured a great intercept and full field try to Keda Moylan which allowed the Eagles to stay within reach of the Seagulls in the first half. However the Seagulls took a significant lead towards half time and maintained their composure for the win.

Tweed Heads 54 (Tim Cassidy 3, Will Johnstone 2, Ethan Price 2, Jacob Garland, Kurtis McDonald, Josh Harvey; Jacob Garland 7 goals) DEF Currumbin 22 (James Griffiths 2, Savern Rapana, Keda Moylan; Savern Rapana 3 goals) at Piggabean Oval.

Tugun Seahawks 28 def Bilambil Jets 6 – Right from kick off the Jets were on the back foot and chasing the Seahawks tail. The Seahawks struggled to break the Jets line with a nil all score, until the 20th minute when a long ball down the line to Seahawks Dean Murphy (no.11), allowed Tugun to put some points on the board. Showing great strength in the second half, the Jets flew through to score points to make the full time score 28-6. A great recovery game for the Jets after their loss against Burleigh the last week.

Tugun 28 (Dean Murphy 2, Dylan Nash 2, Eden Hogg; Reece Worboys 4 goals) DEF Bilambil 6 (Zach Fryer; Louis Earl 1 goal) at Boyd Street.
