The Norths Devils bounced back from some poor defeats in recent weeks to easily account for the Tweed Heads Seagulls 46-18 in their Round 12 match at Bishop Park.

Norths - who raced out to a 28-6 halftime lead - put their four game losing streak to an end in style; starting positively with backrower Matiu Love-Henry crossing in just the sixth minute of the match.

Crowd favourite Rogan Dean extended their lead to 14-0 with a quick-fire double, before the visitors were able to respond thanks to a good run to the line from Karl Lawton.

However, that was all the joy in the half for the Seagulls who then let in two more tries before the break, with firstly Rhett Webster and then Love-Henry with his second rounding out a dominant half for Norths.

The Devils were the first to score in the second half thanks to fullback Jack Mackin to effectively kill the contest, not that the home fans minded.

However, both sides then crossed two more times each - including Lawton for his double - but it was a return to early season form for the Devils who will this weekend travel to Townsville to face the Blackhawks.

The Seagulls however will return home and will host an Ipswich Jets side who are confident after getting back on track with a win over the Hunters yesterday.
