NSW VB Blues centre Josh Morris has today been ruled out of Holden State of Origin II with a groin strain.

Dylan Walker comes into the starting side to replace Morris, with Jack Bird coming onto the bench to make his Origin debut for NSW at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.

Cronulla utility Bird has been in Coffs Harbour with the Blues squad as a development player for the duration of the Origin II lead-up, along with Panthers second-row forward Bryce Cartwright.

Morris warmed up with the side this morning but didn't make it through the session.
