The second Queensland v NSW Wheelchair Rugby League series was held last weekend in Brisbane, with the more experienced NSW side claiming a 2-0 series win.

Hosted by the Sleeman Sports centre on June 18 and June 19, the Blues side powered to an 84-0 victory on Saturday and 90-6 win on Sunday.

Queensland Rugby League Managing Director Rob Moore was in the crowd on Sunday and enjoyed watching the game – despite the result.

The Australian Wheelchair Rugby League staged the event as a preparation tournament for the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup in Sydney in July, 2017.

With only a year until the World Cup, this was a key opportunity for players to show their skills for possible Australian selections.
