This Ipswich Jets will be without two of their key players when they face the Gaters this weekend.

Both Ono So’Oialo and Lachlan Roe have been named in the XXXX Queensland Rangers side who are taking on the NSW Ron Massey Cup team at 4pm this Sunday.

The Jets will be hoping to avoid two losses in a row when they play on Saturday against the north Brisbane side.

Ipswich currently sit in third spot and are only one point behind the second-placed WM Redland City Seagulls and will be hoping to occupy that second position.

Similar to the Jets, the Gaters will also be hoping for a win this weekend in front of their home crowd after their tough loss to competition leaders the Redcliffe Dolphins.

The Gaters went down 32-22 and currently sit in sixth spot, however, a win this weekend could see them move ahead of the fifth placed East Tigers.

The Tigers clear the Gaters by only one point. As the competition starts to get fierce with the finals kicking off at the end of next month, it will be interesting to see where the teams sit with just four more rounds left of the competition.

With the top three teams (the Redcliffe Dolphins, WM Redland City Seagulls and Jets) all clearing each other by only one point, the table leaders could change again at the end of Round 14.

Round 14 will kick off with Carina hosting the Normanby Hounds at Leo Williams Oval on Saturday at 3pm, while the West Brisbane Panthers will take on the WM Redland City Seagulls at Kev McKell Oval Saturday at 3.15pm.

The Logan Brothers will host the Easts Tigers at Civic Park on Saturday at 5.30pm to finish the Saturday games.

There is only one game on Sunday and it will feature the table leaders the Redcliffe Dolphins hosting the Valley Diehards at Dolphin Oval at 12.15pm to finish the round.
