After a long season, the Brisbane Rugby League decider will kick off this Saturday at and it looks sets to be a cracking game with the second-placed Redcliffe Dolphins taking on the defending premiers the Ipswich Jets.

Being held at Bishop Park from 3.30pm, it will follow on from a big day of Women’s Rugby League with three finals of the SEQ Women’s competition also taking place earlier in the day.

After a great win over the Wynnum Manly Redland City Seagulls in Week 2 of the finals, the Dolphins went straight into the grand final and last weekend waited to see who they would be taking on in the decider.

The Jets and Seagulls did battle in terrible conditions after a storm passed over Emerson park which delayed the match.

When they took to the field, it was the Jets who proved too strong with their brilliant defensive effort in the second half, keeping the Seagulls scoreless as fought their way back after trailing 12-4 at halftime.

Both grand final sides have had great seasons this year, with both working extremely hard to get to this position.

Daniel Green’s Dolphins have shown they are serious after they scored a half century in their first finals encounter.

They have been tough competitors all year and showed they are going to be tough opposition as they will not be going down without a fight.

Mark Bishop’s Jets have had a great run to get to the final; they have battled with the best of them and so far have come out on top.

They have proved two weeks in a row that they can play for a full 80 minutes, in any sort of conditions and have been here before.

With the Jets defending their title and looking to go back-to-back; and the Dolphins hoping to get their first premiership, it is going to be game on this Saturday.

If you will not be able to make it to Bishop Park this Saturday, we have you covered and you can stream the game HERE.
