Ryley Jacks - Intrust Super Cup Final - Redcliffe Dolphines V Sunshine Coast Falcons at Dolphin Oval

More than 180 guests including players, partners and sponsors packed the Lakehouse to see Vantage Homes Falcons halfback Ryley Jacks awarded the prestigious James Ackerman Medal after a fantastic season in the black and gold.

On Tuesday, Storm announced the signing of the young playmaker following his standout Intrust Super Cup season with the Falcons.

James Ackerman’s father Michael and brothers Tom and Drew presented the award to the halfback while Sonya (mother of James) watched from the crowd last Friday, October 7.

Alex Bishop was judged Back of the Year for a sensational debut season for the Falcons while inspirational captain Troy Giess was awarded Best Forward of the Year.

On Saturday (October 8) night, rising star Joe Stimson was awarded the Feeder Team Player of the Year at the Melbourne Storm Player of the Year awards in Melbourne. 

For the FOGS Colts Challenge Under 20 players, Alex Copelin continued his impressive rise through the ranks taking out the Back of the Year, while Beau Fermor took out the Forward of the Year against a strong field.

Falcons halfback Dev Long won the overall FOGS Colts Challenge Player of the Year award.
