Applications are closing soon for Queensland Rugby League representative team positions.

The QRL are calling for applications from coaches and support staff to work with some of Queensland’s most promising rugby league players in a variety of teams.

All applications must be submitted before the close on business on Monday, November 14, 2016.

The QRL’s representative program needs people who operate at the highest standards, are outstanding role models and understand the QRL values of Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusiveness and Courage. 

“Those are the QRL’s core values of how we operate, so therefore, everyone that comes into our programs has to exemplify those values not only in word, but also in action in everything that they do,” QRL Head of Football Neil Wharton said.

The QRL are calling for applicants to fill positions with the following representative teams in 2017:

Head Coaches: must have an ARL Senior Club Coach (Level II) Certificate or higher to be eligible and be coaching at an appropriate level in 2016.

Assistant Coaches: must have experience in coaching and / or assistant with coaching teams. Must have a current drivers licence.

Team Manager: must have experience in managing teams and have a current drivers licence.

Strength and Conditioner and Sports Trainers: Strength and Conditioners must be an associated professional (eg ESSA) and Trainers must have a minimum ARL First Aid Officers Level I or II Certificate and relevant experience.
They will work closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Coach to develop and monitor the preparation program (this will include compiling the data of players’ workloads and welfare). Reports will need to be prepared for the QRL Chief Medical Officer and Projects and Representative Programs Manager and will also be forwarded to the players’ respective NRL, Intrust Super Cup and local club management.

Physiotherapist: must be qualified and have experience with sporting teams, particularly contact sports.
They will also be required to prepare reports for the QRL Chief Medical Officer and Projects and Representative Programs Manager, these will also be forwarded to the players respective NRL, Intrust Super Cup and local club management.
