Scotland coach Steve McCormack has recalled Ipswich Jets forward Billy 'Madness' McConnachie into the Bravehearts squad.

The Scotland team will face New Zealand at Workington in their final pool match of this year’s Four Nations tournament.

McConnachie, who according to AAP reports has impressed at training this week; made his Bravehearts debut against Australia in Hull alongside fellow Intrust Super Cup forward the Pride’s Sheldon Powe-Hobbs, a game the Kangaroos won 54-12.

Last weekend, the Scots put up a fight against England, going out to an early 8-0 lead in the first half before eventually going down 38-12 in a hard-fought match.

Scotland returned to training in Preston on Monday morning with several players tending to injuries, intent on being fit for Friday’s final Four Nations showdown with the Kiwis.
