New Rabbitohs Assistant Coach Anthony Seibold feels privileged to be a part of the Rabbitohs and have his chance to work with the playing group and coaching staff to add to the great history of the Club.

Seibold has been impressed with his first impressions of the Club, coaching staff and playing group and is enjoying sharing his knowledge with the group.

"It's a very professional Club with a lot of history so it's a real privilege to be here," said Seibold.

"I'm really enjoying working with Madge and Dave Furner and also the playing group. They're a really professional group and they work very hard.

"It's good to be part of the group."

Settling in at the Rabbitohs has been aided by Seibold's long relationship with Head Coach Michael Maguire.

"We played a few games together back in 1998 at the Canberra Raiders so I've known Madge for a long time," said Seibold.

"We've got similar backgrounds. We're both ex-school teachers, both came out of the Raiders' system as players and the Storm's system as coaches. It's been good to work with him again."

Heading into 2017, Seibold has set one goal for the players in their next period of preseason training - It's about working hard and getting better every day.

"Every single session is an opportunity to improve," said Seibold.

"I think we've had a really narrow focus on 'What can we get out of today's session?' as coaching staff and that's what we've tried to reinforce to the playing group."
