All games in the RDJRL were played on Friday night so that the referees could be ready for the two day Rockhampton Senior League Nine's Carnival.

With the players enjoying some cooler conditions, there were some very exciting games played.

The game of the week was the Under 16 Yeppoon and Brothers Blue contest at Barmaryee Oval. Yeppoon were down on numbers and had to get five Under 15 players to back up.

The game was as close as it could get with both sides playing controlled structure football. At halftime, the sides were locked up at 6-6.

Yeppoon came out of the blocks strongly and took a 10-6 lead for most of the second half, but it was Brothers fresh legs that got them home with a late converted try to win 12-10.

A big shout out to the Under 15 Yeppoon players that backed up. With two injuries during the game, it proved that when at full strength – this Yeppoon side will be a handful during the year.

In the Under 13's, Cap Coast and Brothers Blue continue their winning way in 2017, while Emu Park got the points against Brothers White.

Gracemere continued their winning form defeating Emu Park, Brothers had to dig deep against Yeppoon while Cap Coast continue to play some good football.

In the Under 15s, Yeppoon are the benchmark of this age group and they were able to defeat Brothers at home. Rocky Tigers bounced back with a win against Cap Coast and Fitzroy's were too good for Norths.

The Under 16s were able to play a full round and last year’s premiers Fitzroy's started where they finished off with a strong win against Emu Park; Cap Coast defeated Brothers White and the game of the week Brothers Blue just got home against Yeppoon.

In the Under 18s this week, all teams had their Mal Meninga Cup players back, Emu Park were too good for Cap Coast in a tight affair while Brothers continue their winning form with a strong win against Yeppoon.
