SEQ Women's Round 2 preview

by QRL Media

The SEQ Women’s competition starts back up again this weekend following last weekend’s hiatus for the Easter break.

This week, all three Divisions will be in action – with Division 2 also getting underway after Division 1 and Division 3 both began on April 8-9.

In Division 1 on Saturday, Ipswich Brothers host Wests Brisbane Panthers in what is shaping as an intriguing contest.

Brothers went down fighting against defending premiership the Burleigh Bears in Round 1 – while the Panthers had that weekend off with the bye.

Both teams are brimming with representative talent and it’s a game what will no doubt showcase some high quality women’s rugby league.

In Division 2, all four games are being played across the south-east on Saturday, with last year’s grand final winners in this division Western Fillies at home to Wynnum Manly at Toowoomba’s Gold Park.

Division 3 premiers in 2016 Mt Gravatt are also at home and will this weekend take on Flagstone at Allan Innes Oval.
