The XXXX Queensland Maroons will ride a wave of support into the 2017 Holden State of Origin Series, with 10,000 Maroon Members signing up in the first five months of the new membership campaign.
With the backing of major partner The Star Entertainment Group, the program was reinvigorated in December last year with exclusive merchandise, insider content, special offers and VIP event access a core part of its new offering.
A range of ticketed and non-ticketed packs are still on offer for fans, who can sign up and support their team for as little as $20.
QRL Managing Director Robert Moore said the influx of Maroon Members reflected the value on offer as well as the public’s passion for the Queensland State of Origin team.
“To have attracted 10,000 members in this short period is an outstanding achievement and one that all involved in the program here should be proud of,” Moore said.
“I would also like to thank each member for investing in the game because I know coach Kevin Walters and the players appreciate this parochial support leading into such a big series.
