Mental illness doesn’t discriminate and as a big sporting community we can, and must make a difference.

The 'Power for Change' campaign provides an opportunity for us to share our many programs as well as the stories of the people they impact. Community and social responsibility has been at the heart of the NRL since the game’s inception but a great deal of this work goes unheard.

Dragons player and NRL State of Mind Ambassador Joel Thompson tells us his story of coping with mental illness and his journey to speaking up and seeking help.  Joel is a State of Mind Ambassador and we see him delivering the program to Albion Park Oak Flats Rugby League Club who have seen firsthand the impact of mental illness on their community.
