PNG Hunters captain Ase Boas spoke to QRL Media after his team claimed the 2017 Intrust Super Cup title.

Boas – who also won the Duncan Hall Medal for player of the match – spoke about what it meant to win the competition in front of a strong Hunters crowd.

The match itself was a scrappy affair, but the errors meant the game was close right to the end; giving the Hunters the chance to strike late.

Boas put in the kick for Minoga to score the crucial try and the spoke about what he was thinking when he put it through.

This year’s Courier Mail Medal winner also praised the effort of beaten opponents the Sunshine Coast Falcons who put in a gallant effort in a hard-fought game.
