Tonga coach Kristian Woolf addressed the heightened expectations surrounding his Tonga side at Sunday’s Rugby League World Cup media launch in Brisbane.

Woolf – who is also the head coach of Intrust Super Cup side the Townsville Blackhawks – was joined at the event by captain Sika Manu.

Following some high profile recruits to his team for this year’s tournament – including Jason Taumalolo from New Zealand and Andrew Fifita from Australia – there is excitement around what the Tonga team can achieve in this year’s Cup campaign.

Tonga’s first match will be against Scotland at Barlow Park, Cairns on Sunday afternoon.

Hear what Woolf and Manu had to say in the video above.
