Maroons Game One team announcement

The Queensland Maroons team for Game One of the 2018 Holden State of Origin series will be announced at 10am Monday on QRL.com.au and the Queensland Maroons Facebook page.

QRL Chairman Bruce Hatcher will announce the team at the XXXX Brewery & Alehouse, alongside Head Coach Kevin Walters and Chairman of Selectors Gene Miles.

With incumbent captain Cameron Smith and previous mainstays of the Maroons team Johnathan Thurston and Cooper Cronk stepping down from the representative arena, the announcement will be filled with intrigue.

QRL Media will be bringing you regular first-to-know content across its homepage, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, including behind-the-scenes vision and insight.

Importantly, news carried by QRL Media channels comes with official approval, meaning you can trust its accuracy.

After winning last year's series 2-1 against New South Wales, the rivalry will recommence at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 6.

New South Wales will also announce its team tomorrow, Monday, May 28 at a team dinner in Sydney.
