Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League round 2 wrap:

UNFORTUNATELY all Division 1 games in the Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League were washed out last weekend.

Under the rules of the competition, washed out matches are not transferred to other grounds and are not replayed.

In good news however, Division 2 matches went ahead as scheduled, with a number of clubs recording good results. A full breakdown of the round is listed below.

Premiership Results March 29-30

Division 1

North Ipswich v Burleigh Heads washed out
Carina v Beerwah not played
Aspley v Souths Logan washed out

Points

Souths Logan 3, Beerwah 3, Burleigh Heads 3, Carina 1, Aspley 1, North Ipswich 1.

Summary

In Division 1, the matches between North Ipswich and Burleigh Heads and between Aspley and Souths Logan were both washed out. This meant that under the BDWRL rules, the match between Carina and Beerwah was not played.

Summary

Pine Rivers, Toowoomba and Burpengary are in the competition lead in Division 2 on 4 points after Pine Rivers beat Wests Inala 28-20, Toowoomba beat Waterford 20-18 and Burpengary beat Wynnum Juniors 10-0. In the other match Swifts beat cannon Hill 36‑18, leaving Waterford and Swifts both on 2 points and Inala, Wynnum and Cannon Hill all on 0 points.
