This game is the curtain-raiser to Origin 3. The new players in the 18-man Residents squad are Pele Peletelese (Tweed Heads Seagulls), Dane Hogan (Easts Tigers), Luke Page (Souths Logan Magpies) and Mitchell Frei (Wynnum Manly Seagulls).

Blake backs Qld teammates

Remember this name - Blake Leary! The Queensland Residents forward is killing it in the Intrust Super Cup for the Northern Pride and he's now looking forward to wearing the maroon colours at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday.

Looking ahead: The Maroons will hit the training field on Sunday afternoon with an opposed session against the Queensland Residents.

Monday is a day off and on Tuesday the Maroons head back to Brisbane for the Captain’s Run at Suncorp Stadium.
