To finish off round 3, Avondale hosted the fixtures and took on Miriam Vale in the main game.
The Pies had lost six games in a row but securing a win against Gin Gin three weeks ago has reignited their season as they have had three consecutive wins beating Agnes last week and toppling Avondale at the Tigers home ground.
For the second time in as many weeks Avondale were up leading 16-0 only to blow a good lead and not score another point.
Miram Vale went into half time 16-6 down but the Tigers seemed to lack discipline with several players being sin-binned and one player being sent off towards the end of the second half.
Eleven minutes after the break Magpies hooker Kara Gardner scored and Aaron Causton successfully converted to level the scores at 16-all.
The game was fought out in the middle of the field with both sets of forwards doing their jobs making for a very aggressive game with some big hits which landed.
Pies went on to score again securing a 20-16 win. Avondale were up 16-0 on South Kolan two weeks ago and went down 36-16.
In the earlier game Gin Gin had South Kolan on the run early getting on top 10-6 but Gin Gin had no reserves and many players playing out of position to cover the eight missing injured players and two on suspension.
South Kolan knocked up a big score over the Hawks but Gin Gin knows the quality of players that were out and were not concerned about the 68-18 loss.
South Kolan had two players sin-binned, a player sent and one on report so it maybe a nervous wait for the Sharks to see what players they will have available next week.
Round four commences next week with Gin Gin taking on Agnes in the first game and South Kolan playing Avondale at Shark Park.
