Despite being penalised early, Norths began to dominate.

When Matthew Fairhurst extended Norths’ lead to 14-0 after 12 minutes it looked like Swifts were in for a long night.

Tonga Mounga hit back for Norths in the 27th minute when he crashed over for a try from short-range to extend the Tigers’ lead to a converted try.

With 10 minutes until halftime, Brent Newton scored his third try of the game to give Norths a 24-12 lead.

Only 10 minutes into the second-half Norths’ lead had blown out to 24-points after quick tries to Gerico Cecil and Andrew Campbell.

In the 67th minute a backline play by Norths resulted in another try for Tonga Mounga to extend Norths’ lead to 40-18.
