THE National Semi Finals for the GIO Schoolboy Cup were played on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Queensland schools Palm Beach Currumbin State High School and Wavell State High School both went down in their finals – despite fighting hard all match.

*National semi-final 1: Tuesday, August 26

PATRICIAN BROTHERS COLLEGE BLACKTOWN 20 (Tevita Smith Cottrell, Tyrell Fuimaono, Dylan Fuad, Vincennes Fialelei Ausage tries; Ethan Fagaloa-Time 2 goals) defeated PALM BEACH-CURRUMBIN STATE HIGH SCHOOL 18 (Jerome Green, Ethan Roberts, Jack Peacock tries; Samuel Ross 3 goals) at Sporting Bet Stadium, Penrith. 

National semi-final 2: Wednesday, August 27

ENDEAVOUR SPORTS HIGH 28 (John Olive 3, Jayden Walker, Jack Williams tries; Jamayne Isaako 4 goals) defeated WAVELL STATE HIGH SCHOOL 10 (Rendon Pelite, Keenan Yorston tries; Jack Miers 2 goals) at BMD Kougari Oval, Wynnum.

National GIO Cup grand final details:

The GIO CUP National Final will be between Patrician Brothers College Blacktown and Endeavour Sports High on September 17. The time and venue for this match is yet to be confirmed.
