CONGRATULATIONS to the latest winners of the XXXX Club of the Week weekly prize – Easts Mt Gravatt!
The Brisbane club were nominated by club member Samantha Ellis and as a weekly winner, will receive some great prizes including XXXX merchandise and a ball signed by the victorious Queensland State of Origin team from Game 3, 2014.
All winning entries will also go in the draw to win the grand final prize of $5000 worth of food, beverage and entertainment for an end of season function at your club.
The overall XXXX Club of the Week winner for this year will be announced on Friday, October 17. Keep an eye on the QRL website www.qrl.com.au for the news.

I would like to nominate our club Easts Mt Gravatt Rugby League Club for XXXX Club of the Week.
We have 76 registered senior players and have been established since 1958.
We play a large part within our community and our club has an uplifting community spirit. We have held an expo for small businesses in our area and have we raised $5000 to help one of players diagnosed with cancer to live a comfortable life whilst receiving treating.
Our Under 20s this year won the Brisbane 2nd Division Ted Beaumont Trophy and were minor premiers, but were runners up in the grand final. Our Opens 2 were finalists in the Chairman’s trophy and made the semi-finals.
Our Under 20 player Trent Shield won the XXXX Representative Player of the Year recently and our Under 20 player Jordan Ive was the XXXX Under 20s runner up for Player of the Year and
Cory McEwan was the winner of the XXXX Opens 2 player of the year.
Ex-Mt Gravatt player Corey Thompson played in the NRL grand final this past weekend as the number 2 winger. Ex- Mt Gravatt player Alex Barr also played for the Under 20 Broncos in the grand final. Ex-Mt Gravatt player Jack Joass and his Easts Tigers FOGS A Grade won their recent grand final.
Our president Peter Sullings won the 2nd Division and Greater Brisbane Junior Rugby League Volunteer of the year (2013) award and was selected to be Queensland’s representative in Sydney in September for the National Volunteer of the Year with only four finalists.
I was awarded Easts Arthur Sparks award for Outstanding Club and Community Service (2013) and was nominated for the Greater Brisbane JRL Female Volunteer of the Year.
As you can see we love our club, are 100 percent committed to our families and players and love to keep our club spirit alive.
I hope you will take our club into consideration. This would mean a lot to us and boost our already fantastic spirit and voluntary achievements. We are a very proud club.
