Photo: Damage to the Yeppoon Seagulls grounds.

Clubs in the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast area have begun the massive clean up after Category 5 Cyclone Marcia tore through the area leaving behind a trail of devastation.

With local rugby league scheduled to start this weekend, clubs are undoubtedly working around the clock to get their club operational.

Most clubs in the area were left without power for as long as 7 days.  This certainly hindered clubs efforts to restore some normality to their facilities and infrastructure.

All clubs have reported some damage but the Yeppoon Seagulls wore the brunt of Marcia.

Initial estimates indicate the damage to the Yeppoon club will extend in to the tens of thousands.

The scoreboard and PA speakers were found more than 500m from their original position.
