The funeral for James Ackerman will be held at Sunshine Coast Stadium at 11am on Wednesday, July 1.
Members of the public are invited and welcome to attend the funeral.
The Sunshine Coast Stadium is the home ground of the Falcons Rugby League Club and James’ funeral service will be held where he last played on the Sunshine Coast prior to the events at Bishop Park.
The Ackerman family ask that donations be made to the James Ackerman Family Trust Fund in lieu of flowers.
Further details of the funeral will be released early next week.
James’ parents Michael and Sonya Ackerman, brothers Andrew and Thomas, wife Saraa and children Olliver and Milly have been overwhelmed by heart warming support from the community and rugby league fraternity and wish to express their sincere gratitude to everyone for their love, support and prayers at this difficult time.
