The eighth Annual Billy Slater League Tag Challenge was played at Innisfail's Callendar Park last week with more than 550 children participating.

Twenty-two primary schools were represented across the Cassowary Coast, Tablelands and Cairns.

Distance was no barrier for Cape York Peninsula's Lockhart River State School which received the Sportsmanship Award.
