Redcliffe post another big home win
by QRL Media
Redcliffe's surge continued, with the home side putting in a dominant display to defeat the CQ Capras 40-4 at Dolphin Oval yesterday.
The Dolphins crossed for three tries in the opening half to give themselves a handy 18-0 lead at the break, and kicked things up a notch in the second; posting four four pointers to one, including two in the final 10 minutes of the match to show the was no easing off against their opposition.
Half Zach Strasser posted a double, while Jack Ahearn, Jonus Peason and giant winger Curtis Johnston all backed up their Round 12 try scoring ways by crossing for another in yesterday's big win.
The Capras sole try came out wide to Justin Tavae after some good lead-up work from impressive five-eighth Maipele Morseau - but any hope of a comeback was quickly extinguished with Pearson's try 10 minutes later.
Next weekend, the Dolphins are again at home and will host the Townsville Blackhawks in what could be a blockbuster encounter; while the Capras too will welcome their return to home surrounds when they play Mackay.
