XXXX Queensland Maroons forward Corey Parker made a heartfelt retirement speech to fans and media earlier this morning.

This season will be his last in the NRL, with the 34-year-old to retire at the end of the year just a few games short of close friend Darren Lockyer's all-time game mark.

Parker will play his final State of Origin match on home soil at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night, before finishing the season with the Broncos.
