They fought hard in a tight match, but the Norths Devils were eliminated from the finals race of the FOGS Colts Challenge after being defeated by Easts last weekend.

The Devils fell just short to the Tigers in a close 26-22 game in the minor semi-final, with the victors scoring five tries to four to claim the win.

Scores were locked at 10-10 at the halftime break, with winger Connor Jones scoring a try in each half to help the Tigers secure their four-point win.

Easts have now secured a spot in the preliminary final, where they will face Redcliffe Dolphins this Sunday.

After finishing the season as minor premiers, Wynnum Manly Seagulls earned their way into the grand final after posting an impressive 40-12 win over the Dolphins in the major semi-final.

Halfback Aaron Booth was a standout with his hat-trick of tries and the Gulls will have this weekend off to prepare for the decider at Suncorp Stadium on September 25.

With a second chance for a spot in the grand final up for grabs, Redcliffe will be looking to redeem themselves against the Tigers, ensuring a great game for spectators.

You can catch this game at the Dolphin Oval at 12.30pm this Sunday.
